The BDR Role: The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a key contributor to Goalsetter’s growth and success, supporting the sales team in driving new business opportunities and expanding our reach. This position plays a pivotal role in identifying, engaging, and qualifying leads to build strong partnerships with schools, organizations, and corporate sponsors. Reporting directly to the sales leadership team and collaborating closely with marketing and other departments, the BDR ensures a consistent flow of qualified prospects into the pipeline and sets the foundation for long-term customer relationships.This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and results-oriented professional to make a meaningful impact in the educational and financial literacy space while helping Goalsetter achieve its mission of closing the wealth gap in America. Responsibilities:Lead Generation & Prospecting: Research and identify potential districts, schools, organizations, corporate sponsors, and foundation partners aligned with Goalsetter’s mission and values. Generate a minimum of 100–200 new leads per month.Corporate and Foundation Outreach: Identify and engage potential corporate and foundation sponsors to support Goalsetter's initiatives. Develop tailored outreach strategies that align with their philanthropic goals and corporate social responsibility priorities.Outbound Outreach: Conduct outreach to prospects via phone calls, emails, and social media, introducing Goalsetter’s mission, educational products, and partnership opportunities.Qualifying Leads: Engage with prospects to understand their needs and assess alignment with Goalsetter’s offerings, qualifying a minimum of 20–40 leads per month for the next stages of the sales pipeline.Appointment Setting: Schedule a minimum of 20 introductory demos per month for sales team members with qualified leads.Data Management: Maintain accurate lead and contact information by consistently updating CRM records.Collaboration & Feedback: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to refine messaging and provide insights on outreach results, audience engagement, and potential sponsorship opportunities.Qualifications and Experience:Experience: 3 or more years in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles, preferably in K12 and/or fundraising. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly, professional, and persuasive style.Self-Starter: Highly motivated, proactive, and driven to succeed and engage potential partners through consistent follow-up.Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot, as well as basic productivity tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and email marketing platforms.Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.This role is ideal for someone who is resourceful, results-oriented, and passionate about driving partnerships in the educational and financial literacy sectors.About the Company The company is an innovative savings, financial literacy, and smart spending application designed for children, families, and individuals aspiring to build wealth.
