Role Description
Optimum is looking for a Sr. Account Executive, with 5+ years of experience in IT Consulting and/or Software account management and sales. This position will manage some of Optimum’s strategic, large enterprise and mid-market accounts as well as capturing new accounts in Optimum's primary industries.
The Account Executive is a high visibility position and will be a key member of the sales organization. With our rapid growth, this is an exceptional opportunity for the right individual with the ability to make a substantial contribution to the growth and success of the company.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales and account management roles, in the IT consulting or software solutions industry.
- Generate leads by contacting prospective clients and develop new opportunities in new and existing accounts.
- Develop and execute strategies and sales plans to capture new business and acquire new logos and accounts.
- Identify, establish relationships with, and manage key contacts within their accounts.
- Lead the Sales and Solutions Engineering efforts at different stages of the sales process.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Experience in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Knowledge of IT consulting and software solutions, including areas such as custom software development, systems integration, cloud solutions, and business process automation.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Conducts sales needs analysis with new and prospective customers.
- Provide monthly and quarterly sales reports, KPIs, and forecasts.
Must Have Qualifications
- Previous Sales and/or Account Executive experience, in Sofware or IT Consulting, achieving a minimum annual quota of $1M.
- Previous successful track record in working with Cloud Partners (such as Microsoft)
- Experience in consultative sales.
- Ability and willingness to travel to meet prospects/customer face to face.
- Familiarity with CRMs and sales reporting tools as well as Microsoft office suite.
Nice to have
- A network of regional or national potential customers as well as Microsoft sales reps.
- Knowledge of or experience in software development.
- Technical Education (e.g., computer science, engineering).
- Knowledge of product development / management processes.
- Good understanding of the latest trends and developments in the industry.
- Having worked with Delivery Managers and/or Project Managers on large complex programs/projects.
- Business consulting experience.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in Account Management, Business Development, or Customer Success roles.
- Willingness and ability to travel, depending on territory is required. Maintaining reliable transportation is also required.
