Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in driving our business growth by identifying and generating new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sales processes, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology and collaboration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify potential leads and target companies within life sciences, construction, and other project management focused industry sectors using GTM tools.
- Reach out to prospects through various channels, including email, phone, and social media.
- Qualify leads based on their needs, budget, decision-making processes, and timeline.
- Schedule meetings and product demonstrations for the sales team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and prospect interactions in our CRM system.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and refine lead generation strategies.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and Smartsheet product updates.
- Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a sales development or business development role, preferably in the technology or consulting industry.
- Strong understanding of Smartsheet or other collaborative work management solutions is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient in using CRM and sales tools.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets and goals.
