Job Summary
As a Business Development Representative for our Marine and Defense sectors, your role is pivotal in driving growth and enhancing customer relationships within the organization. You will be responsible for identifying new leads and opportunities, both organically and inorganically, and leveraging data and market insights to optimize sales strategies. Your focus will include nurturing existing customer relationships, prospecting new clients, and revitalizing previous connections to expand the customer base.

- Salary Range: $100,000-$125,000 annually, plus commission.
- Travel expectations: up to 50%.
- Hybrid role with flexibility to live near one of our locations in New Orleans, LA (Gulf Coast Region), Seattle, WA (Puget Sound), or Fort Lauderdale, FL (Southeast Region).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Utilize both organic and inorganic methods to find leads. Organically, leverage internal data sources such as website inquiries, service work reports, and historical data. Inorganically, utilize external sources, social media platforms, networking, cold calling, and market research to identify potential customers.
- Customer Relationship Management: Grow and maintain existing customer relationships by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Revive previous customer relationships through targeted engagement strategies.
- Data Analysis and Strategy: Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to derive insights and make informed decisions. Provide recommendations for improving sales strategies and customer engagement.
- Quotation Process Management: Guide customers through the transition from initial inquiries to quotations, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.
- Customer Information Management: Maintain up-to-date customer profiles and information, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of customer preferences and requirements (Customer 360 approach).
- Net Promoter Score (NPS) Improvement: Implement initiatives to enhance NPS by delivering exceptional service and addressing customer feedback effectively.
- Technical Support Coordination: Conduct technical analysis of customer requests and collaborate with Parts and Service Sales Representatives to provide accurate information and support as needed.
This role requires a proactive approach to business development, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with both internal teams and external customers. By focusing on lead generation, customer relationship management, and strategic analysis, you will contribute significantly to the growth and success of the Parts & Service division.

Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in the marine industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a Sales or Business development role.
