About The Role
As the Sales Account Executive, Partnerships & Affiliates, you will report to the Head of Partnerships and play a pivotal role in driving the company’s revenue growth. You will manage and expand affiliate relationships while sourcing new brand-direct and agency partnerships to accelerate marketplace revenue.
Your expertise in branded display, performance advertising, rewards marketplaces, and affiliate ecosystems will enable you to identify opportunities, craft tailored solutions, and close deals that deliver measurable results. This is a high-impact role for a strategic, results-driven sales professional with exceptional execution skills.
You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure partner success and maintain focus on meeting ambitious sales targets. With strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, you’ll drive sustainable growth and build long-term, high-value partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development:
- Drive revenue by identifying and securing new advertisers and affiliate agencies
- Use creative prospecting, lead generation, account planning, drip email campaigns, and networking to expand the business pipeline
- Develop compelling sales collateral tailored to potential partners
Account Management:
- Manage a portfolio of existing direct advertisers and agencies
- Negotiate contract renewals, drive upsell revenue, and develop long-term account strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals
Data-Driven Growth:
- Leverage tools like Strackr, Tableau, and Looker to evaluate KPIs, optimize campaign performance, and identify growth opportunities for Trashie and advertisers
Collaboration:
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure seamless onboarding, successful campaign execution, and high-performing results
Relationship Building:
- Foster and grow high-value advertiser relationships, positioning Trashie as a trusted partner
Industry Representation:
- Represent Trashie at industry events, conferences, and in-person client meetings
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 8 years in publisher advertising sales, marketplace and affiliate sales, and/or brand-direct sales. Proven track record in strategic account management, revenue forecasting, pricing negotiation, and optimizing relationships
- Analytical Expertise: Proficiency with data tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms. Ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
- Proactivity & Detail Orientation: Self-starter with a talent for identifying new opportunities and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Communication & Negotiation: Strong ability to present, negotiate, and build trust with stakeholders, from the C-suite to manager levels
