Account Manager - Capital Equipment and consumables
Drive sales of diagnostic capital equipment to hospitals and healthcare systems. The account manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding sales in an assigned territory, as well as closing new business and expanding existing accounts. Working with the regional sales manager to identify and prioritize conversion targets. Continuously developing growth opportunities for products in the territory. Growing and maintaining sales in hospital and physician office laboratory accounts within the assigned geographic territory.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve quota
- Build relationships with key decision makers at hospitals including executives, department heads, and purchasing
- Demonstrate equipment value proposition and ROI
- Manage sales process through contract negotiation and deal closing
- Collaborate with internal teams on proposals and implementations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of medical device sales experience
- Proven track record in capital equipment sales to hospitals
- Understand/ have sales success utilizing the Complex Sale Model, strong consensus building skills and success in gaining access and selling to MD’s and C Suite
- Knowledge of the hospital buying process and stakeholders
- Ability to communicate equipment features, benefits and financials
- Strong business acumen and sales skills
