Position Overview
Our team is hiring a full-time Account Executive who is invested in our mission and is eager to shape the future of K12 computer science education. We are seeking a committed, hard-working individual to join us in our pursuit of an ambitious goal. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for new sales across the US and will work with your manager and team to meet and exceed annual sales quotas. You must have prior success in K12 education sales - as well as a firm understanding of the K12 educational ecosystem within your territory. Ideally, you have relationships with districts in the territory you are applying for and a deep knowledge of the state's landscape, initiatives, funding, adoptions, etc. You must be a hungry and driven self starter, a team player, and have a hunter mentality. This team member is self-directed, goal-oriented, and can effectively collaborate with a team. This position has advancement potential within the Sales organization - your ideas and innovation will drive the company’s success and sales infrastructure in the long-term.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the end-to-end sales process to meet or exceed bookings and revenue goals for a large Central US territory
- Design and execute sales territory plans by identifying opportunities within the market, developing effective outreach strategies, and aligning with revenue goals
- Thoroughly research funding sources, key initiatives and needs by region and state to identify targets
- Prospect across schools and districts with outbound calling, email campaigns, social media and pre-qualifying incoming leads to build pipeline and book meetings
- Leverage your Hubspot CRM experience and sales process training to tactfully manage a pipeline to meet, track and exceed team goals
- Identify best practices to refine the company’s sales process playbook
- Possess a deep understanding of Hello World CS offerings and differentiators
- Be a storyteller in the seat of a teacher, administrator and student for a consultative approach
- Support various conferences to help drive attendance and leads
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of successful K12 sales experience
- Strong organization skills; an understanding of how to optimally manage time to ensure work is completed and goals are met
- Adept at managing the full sales cycle from Discovery to Closing
- A proven track record of success and over-achievement
- An outstandingly upbeat individual who loves engaging with potential customers
- Someone excited to execute innovative, targeted campaigns that get decision makers interested in bringing transformative curriculum and technology to classrooms
