As a Business Development Representative (BDR) in the "Hunter" role, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging new business opportunities by targeting high-potential accounts within our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). You will use a variety of outbound strategies, primarily cold calling and secondary focus being emailing, LinkedIn outreach, and other channels, to book meetings and generate qualified leads for our sales team.
This role is perfect for someone who is motivated by achieving targets, has excellent communication skills, and is comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment where creativity, resilience, and a sense of ownership are key to success.
Responsibilities - Prospecting & Outreach: Identify key decision-makers within targeted accounts based on our ICP and develop strategies to reach out
- Cold Calling & Emailing/messaging: Initiate high-volume outbound communication to engage prospective clients and secure meetings for the sales team. Primarily via cold calls, and secondary focus being LinkedIn and Email messages
- Utilize Sales Tools: Use Outbound calling (insert names), Email sequencing (Outreach, Apollo) and LinkedIn SalesNav to manage lead generation
- Maintain Metrics & KPIs: Consistently meet or exceed weekly/monthly activity and performance goals, such as calls made, emails sent, meetings booked, and opportunities generated.
- Relationship Building: Establish rapport with key stakeholders at target organizations to foster long-term business relationships.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to align on strategy, share feedback on lead quality, and refine outreach techniques to maximize results.
Qualifications- Minimum 6 months of experience as a BDR with cold-calling (startup experience is a plus).
- Minimum 6 months of Email outreach, and LinkedIn messaging experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different buyer personas.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, and goal-oriented, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A passion for learning and professional growth, with a desire to contribute to the overall success of the sales team.
