Sales: Senior Account Executive, Licensed Partners

What:
Steeped, Inc. is operating in the high-growth specialty coffee and single-serve coffee spaces - using innovation to bring these two markets together for the first time. Originally founded in Santa Cruz, California, Steeped has developed a proprietary coffee method that is brewed in single-serve bags, like tea, that are made from renewable and compostable materials. The Steeped Coffee Brewing Method is directly sold through B2B and DTC distribution channels under an in-house brand as well as through popular top partner coffee brands, while also licensing the Steeped Brewing Method and technology to a growing list of national and international coffee roasters and other private label partners.

Steeped is looking for a dynamic Senior Account Executive to join our Licensed Partnerships team during this exciting growth phase. In this role, you'll build a robust pipeline, close new business through relational sales, and expand our customer base. Department Structure: Full Time (Remote) | Reports to EVP of Sales
Essential Functions:
- Identify Customers: In collaboration with the EVP of Sales, you will define ideal customer profile (ICP) targets and drive execution
- Outbound Prospecting: Proactively identify and seek out prospects and build industry relationships within your sales segment to optimize revenue based on identified ICPs
- Sales Funnel: Leverage lead gen & marketing automation systems, cold calling, and increased performance tracking to drive new opportunities efficiently
- Customer Management: Manage pipeline funnel, revenue forecasting, and sales activity using Steeped’s ERP/CRM and lead gen tools for maximum efficiency and visibility
- Executing Sales Process (vetting, qualifying, and closing opportunities):
- Present programs and tailor them to customers’ needs
- Schedule follow-up calls to review the next steps
- Lock in rollout/customer success strategy with all stakeholders
- Prepare estimates
- Send proper onboarding documents for review and confirmation
- Negotiate pricing and contracts/agreements, ensuring mutual success
- Onboarding new partners:
- Account set up
- New order submission
- Manage customer experience throughout the design phase and up to the launch
- Send Resources to help Licensed Partners prepare for launch and introduction to Account Manager
- Reorders:
- Manage any/all assigned ‘book of business’, as needed
- Follow up to drive reorders from reserve stock, as needed
- Offer additional products and services as needed
- Market Research: Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry developments
- Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure alignment and support for the License Partner department initiatives
- Fulfillment: Coordinate with Operations to ensure timely supply, purchase orders, and demand planning for newly onboarded accounts
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards in the License Partner / co-manufacturing sector
- Communication: Communicate internally and externally regarding Steeped Coffee’s value proposition to identify and share best practices
- Representation / Travel: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our brand and build relationships with potential partners and clients
- Other: Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required

- 3-5+ years of sales account executive experience preferred
- Coffee industry and/or specialty coffee experience preferred
- BA/BS or some college experience preferred
- Google Suite, Sheets (Excel), and cloud software proficiency
- CRM/ERP proficiency
- History of cultivating extraordinary customer relationships + closing high-volume sales
- Experience in delivering in-person or virtual sales presentations with excellence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, determined, organized, and results-oriented
- Flexibility to be able to work in a rapidly changing, fast-paced startup environment
- Coachability: the ability to receive feedback and utilize it in a positive and effective manner
- Positive attitude, team-oriented, and a self-starter
- Ability to learn and apply key software applications within the company’s tech stack

Job Type and Salary Range:

Salary: Base $75k - $90k annually + Commissions ($100k - $115k OTE)

- Must be able to lift up to 15-25 pounds at a time
