About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Associate, Business Development to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for prospecting new customers, driving account activation, and fostering account growth. You will play a critical role in expanding Minoan’s customer base and ensuring the success of our existing customers.
What you’ll do:
Prospecting:
- Engage in cold outreach to identify and connect with potential new customers.
- Utilize a balanced approach of calling and emailing (50/50) to reach prospects.
- Pitch Minoan’s business value proposition effectively to drive prospects to place their first order.
- Conduct product demos for prospective customers to showcase the benefits and features of Minoan’s platform.
- Manage a pipeline of prospective customers within our internal CRM.
- Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, and partnerships.
Account Growth:
- Conduct regular product demos with new customers to showcase new features and encourage increased usage.
- Manage a pipeline of prospective customers within our proprietary CRM to ensure continuous engagement and growth.
- Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to enhance Minoan’s presence and identify potential leads.
- Assist in the development of sales strategies and goals to drive business growth.
Account Activation:
- Encourage new and existing customers who have not previously placed an order to start spending with us.
- Work diligently to convert interested prospects into active customers.
Other Responsibilities:
- Gather and communicate customer feedback to the larger team to inform product development, operations, and marketing strategies.
- Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy and identify opportunities for innovation.
What we’re looking for:
- At least 3 years of experience in business development and sales, with experience in cold outreach (both phone and email)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools.
- A proactive and results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in business development or sales is a must.
- Performance motivated by determination, a growth mindset, optimism, respect, resourcefulness, teamwork, and an ownership mentality.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, or B2B SaaS.
- Experience in a startup or fast-paced, high-growth environment.
