Authorium is seeking a driven Business Development Representative to identify and generate new opportunities within the federal defense market. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of defense agencies and a passion for supporting the mission of the U.S. Armed Forces through innovative SaaS solutions.
As a Business Development Representative, you will excel at engaging with defense prospects, understanding their mission-critical challenges, and qualifying their needs. You'll thrive in managing early sales funnel activities and enjoy developing processes that deliver value in complex environments. Your ability to articulate Authorium's value proposition and create tools to support our growth will be essential.

Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, ideally within the defense sector
- Ability to research and create outreach materials for high-value prospects, in partnership with the cross-functional GTM team
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to defense audiences, both verbally and in writing
- Experience with outbound sales tactics, including cold-calling and strategic follow-ups within the defense market
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive, self-starter attitude
- Familiarity with CRM systems, focusing on maintaining accurate records, tracking lead progress, and supporting data-driven decision-making
- Analytical and data-driven approach to business development, with the ability to contribute to strategy shaping
- Team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to develop and refine defense-specific sales processes
- Proximity to Los Angeles is required for occasional in-person working sessions (approximately 2x/month)
