Account Executive
Kaleidoscope Bio is hiring an Account Executive
We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team as the first Account Executive at Kaleidoscope. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact our growth by actively prospecting for new customers, handling inbound leads, and driving key deals, all while working side by side with our CEO. In this role you’ll leverage your strong scientific acumen to drive the adoption of our powerful technology. Kaleidoscope is changing the digital experience of scientists and leaders in biotech by creating science-centric, user-friendly software – join us in building the best operating system for R&D!
About Kaleidoscope
A new era of scientific and biomedical discovery is upon us, powered by incredible advances including molecular and synthetic biology, high-throughput instrumentation, and applications of novel computational methods. And yet, the software ecosystem for scientists is sorely overlooked, resulting in serious hindrance of the speed and quality of scientific translation from bench to bedside. At Kaleidoscope, we are building a control center for science — a tool to stitch together all of the core elements of an R&D engine, ensuring that scientific work is captured reliably and reproducibly.
Kaleidoscope’s products are being used by some of the world's most innovative teams every day. We bring together experimental and computational workflows, and allows teams to collaboratively plan, manage, and track their processes and data. Our initial customers are biotech and pharma companies, and we will become the collaborative software underpinning R&D across all industries to accelerate scientific research.
The role
The Account executive will drive revenue growth by strategically identifying, securing, and converting high-potential deals in the biotech and pharma sectors. In this role, you will leverage your deep industry expertise to expand our market presence and lead our sales efforts, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and success. You will play a key role in developing a robust sales pipeline, securing major deals, and building strategic partnerships while optimizing our sales processes for maximum efficiency.
Examples of day-to-day responsibilities:
- Proactively research and identify new business opportunities within the biotech and pharma sectors, expanding our reach and market presence. Companies will range in size from Seed-Series A biotech start-ups, to larger public companies with a pipeline of clinical stage assets.
- Conduct outreach to potential clients through cold calls, emails, and networking events, effectively generating new leads.
- Qualify inbound leads to assess their fit with our solutions, ensuring efficient use of sales resources.
- Develop and present tailored sales presentations to prospective clients, demonstrating the value of our products in meeting their specific needs.
- Negotiate and close deals with new customers, consistently working towards meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Maintain and update CRM records to track all sales activities, pipeline progress, and customer interactions for optimal sales process management.
- Manage clean hand-off between Sales and Customer Success, following product demos.

If you're elsewhere, no worries — we have team members across the East and West coasts and meet up around quarterly to collaborate in person.
- Family-friendly — There’s more to life than work, let your schedule work around your family’s needs, not just the company’s needs.
- Flexible paid time off — It’s exciting to think about how to push science forward, but it’s also important to take breaks from inventing the future once in a while.

Team values
We believe that great products come from great teams, so we think it’s worth talking about what we value in our team. If the following sounds like the kind of place you’d like to work, we’d love to hear from you!
- Healthy communication — We’ve been doing regular 1:1s from the very start because we think it’s important to check in on each other outside of the day to day. We value psychological safety and we want to ensure everyone is comfortable voicing their thoughts, including doubts and disagreement.
- Questions are always welcome — Startups are hard, they are filled with ambiguity; it’s asking questions, sometimes the same ones over and over, that can lead to the most important insights. We strive to leave our ego at the door and listen to each other, so we can teach and learn together.
- Be kind — We wake up every day excited to work together, and at the heart of that is an understanding that we care about one another and are there to support each other through good and bad.
- The team over the individual — That means having a team that collaborates and supports each other, and people who will step up to plug a gap when someone else is struggling.
- Focused — We have an incredible team with a proven track record of building amazing product, but focus is what makes all the difference. It’s about saying no to hundreds of ideas to make room for the right yes.
