The Role: Founding Sales Executive (BDR + AE)
We're hiring our first sales executive to lead our early go-to-market efforts. This is a hybrid role that combines BDR and Account Executive responsibilities — you’ll generate leads, qualify prospects, schedule meetings between potential customers and our founding team, and own the full sales cycle through to close.
You’ll work closely with the founding team to shape our sales process, test what works, and ultimately build the foundation for a scalable motion. If you love wearing multiple hats, talking to customers, and building from zero, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Own the entire sales funnel — from prospecting and outreach to discovery, demos, and closing
- Identify and engage target customers via email, LinkedIn, and other channels
- Schedule meetings between qualified prospects and our founding team
- Run sales calls and collaborate with founders on strategy and closing
- Build and refine sales playbooks, messaging, and repeatable workflows
- Translate customer feedback into product and GTM insights
- Define sales metrics and help build the foundation for future sales hires
You Might Be a Fit If
- You have 3–5 years of B2B SaaS sales experience, ideally doing both outbound and full-cycle sales
- You’ve sold marketing, SEO, analytics, or similar tools (experience with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or Similarweb is a plus)
- You thrive in fast-paced, early-stage environments without a set playbook
- You have strong communication and discovery skills, and you know how to guide deals from cold outreach to close
- You bring a high level of ownership and self-direction to your work
- You’re excited about helping companies navigate the shift to AI-driven search
- MBA or startup experience is a bonus
Compensation & Details
- Salary: $80,000–$140,000
- Commission: 15% on closed deals
- Equity: 0.5%–1.5%
- Location: Remote-first, US-based only
