Founded in 2022 by Kieran O'Brien and Cayden Phipps, our mission is to streamline marketing automation for auto repair shops across North America. Role Summary:
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Shopgenie, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sales initiatives by identifying, developing, and securing business opportunities. You will leverage your understanding of our products and the competitive landscape to build meaningful relationships with clients, offering solutions that meet their unique CRM needs. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional looking to make a significant impact within a fast-paced, innovative environment with an eat-what-you-kill pay structure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and generate new business opportunities through direct outreach, networking, and participation in industry events.
* Act as a point of contact for prospective clients throughout their purchasing process (i.e., scheduling demonstrations, demo reminders, follow-ups after demos, etc.).
* Conduct discovery and exploration sessions with potential clients to understand their needs and how our solutions can address them.
* Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Shopgenie's products, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
* Expand and improve lead data in a CRM to help with lead qualification.
* Provide relevant facts to the sales team to enable a targeted demo experience.
* Collaborate and maintain active communication channels with other sales team members.
* Ensure that every prospective client receives outstanding service from beginning to end.
* As we expand, provide coaching and light training for new Sales Development Representatives.
Need to Have:
* Strong interpersonal skills and a kind, professional manner while speaking on the phone.
* An innate interest in startups, sales, and technology, along with a solid drive to be a top performer.
* Candidates in the eastern or central time zones are preferable.
* Strong organizational and time management abilities.
* A sincere and honest attitude towards assisting prospective clients.
* A strong desire to improve both personally and professionally in sales.
* The ability to perform in a sales quota environment.
Nice to Have:
* One to three years of work experience (preferably with sales and SaaS expertise).
* Prior experience utilizing a CRM and adhering to established practices (HubSpot is a bonus).
Some travel required, 1-2 trips per quarter.
