Account Executive - Food Tech Startup

Location: California - SF, LA, SD, OC or SD, fully remote

Pay: $70 - 80k base + commission, ($140-160k OTE)

Our platform offers a seamless, branded experience that helps restaurants grow their direct sales, reduce reliance on third-party delivery services, and build stronger customer relationships. Open leverages artificial intelligence to grow restaurant sales 35-45% on average, furthering our mission of helping restaurateurs make more while working less.

Who We’re Looking For

We want a driven, resilient Sales Representative who hunts deals, thrives on fast-paced sales, and isn’t afraid to pick up the phone and get restaurant owners excited. This role demands a self-driven, agile closer who takes initiative, thinks quickly, and consistently delivers results.

Who You Are:

Experienced enough (2-4 years) to hit the ground running, preferably with cold calling or transactional B2B sales
A confident communicator who can clearly explain complex ideas simply
Curious and adaptive, ready to learn and pivot on feedback
Self-starter with high agency who thrives with minimal training and can work autonomously
Able to juggle high call volumes and move deals quickly (10-15 closes/month)
Resilient — you see “no” as just another step toward “yes”
Ideally familiar with the restaurant or SaaS space but not required if you’ve got the hustle

Role Responsibilities

Prospect and identify restaurants who will benefit most from Open’s platform
Own the full sales cycle — cold call, pitch, demo, and close deals quickly
Use the Open platform as a tool to showcase value and win customers
Handle objections effectively, particularly around switching from legacy ordering systems and pricing concerns
